Fall has started. It became very clear to me the minute I came out of the plane from my holiday to Turkey, where it is still summer-weather. This fact leads me to start working on my fall/winter wardrobe. I am not looking forward to cold days, but I am looking forward to see the new collections in stores. And off course I also take a look at the online shops. I recently discovered GIRISSIMA.COM – it’s a recently new European web shop – which has a great set of some amazing designers and brands.

What I really love about GIRISSIMA.COM is that they do not offer ten thousand items. Instead they just select the best items of each brand. I personally prefer one good statement piece that I can create a lot of different looks with. I rather invest in one item with good quality, instead of buying a couple of items that don’t last longer than one season.

To describe some examples: the Tibi Connecticut Snake Print Dress (see picture below). Because of the minimalistic design of this dress, I think it’s a perfect piece to wear in winter as well as in summertime. It is easy to combine with several different items, since it can look very classy with some high heels but it is also pretty cool with some low biker boots and a leather jacket.
Also, the striped skirt from By Marlene Birger is a piece that will last more than one season, because the stripes trend keeps coming back every season and it’s easy to combine with a lot of basic pieces which (almost) everyone has hanging in her closet. It can also look really nice with the IRO mesh sweater, combined with some high suede black boots.

Below is a summary of my top favourite fall/ winter items from Girissima.

Girissima picks

GAT RIMON navy blue silk shirt
IRO thick mesh sweater
MANJERICA leather hobo bag
EQUIPMENT camouflage silk shirt
Tibi Connecticut Snake Print Dress
By Marline Birger striped skirt
MISCHA BEE calf leather bag
MISCHA BEE leather brown bag

I would love to see more of the places you like to shop. My wardrobe could use a fall/winter update and you are a great inspiration source!
